I started the process for surgery in May of 2009. After a year of jumping thru hoops with my insurance company I was able to have surgery on July 14, 2010. The first week was really bad because I suffered from heartburn/indigestion until I was able to get something from my doctor. Then, I suffered an infection which luckily was pretty much healed within a week. I have stumbled with various foods and finally am now able to eat pretty much anything (luckily). I never felt I would have the "buyer's remorse" but there was a week or two in there I really wondered.
