I am the mother of 3 beautiful girls. I decided to have gastric sleeve surgery because I wanted to be the best mom I could be and experience life outside of the prison that super morbid obesity creates. I had the sleeve in 2012 and lost over 200 pounds. During the pregnancy of my third baby girl born just six months ago I gained forty pounds back. Prebaby I was gaining weekly as well and started investigating reasons. I was excercising faithfully and eating clean-protein first and then veggies-following all the rules that become engrained into your mind along this journey. Anyway, I was diagnosed with PCOS which makes it more difficult to lose and very easy to gain. I had a surprise pregnancy shortly after this diagnosis-miracle baby for sure due to large cysts on my ovaries and other issues. Anyway, I am in the process of revision surgery. I hope to get approved to have the bypass so I can have a stronger tool that will help keep that prison sentence at bay. I suffered a stroke a few months ago and due to being more sedentary the gains have been piling up. I know getting to a healthier weight will help lower my chances for experiencing another stroke. The sleeve is an amazing surgery. I still view it as a successful surgery. I just need some extra help to get me the rest of the way.
