I am sorry for the late notice, but due to some unforseen events I will be postponing our October meeting until the 27th.  The location and time will be the same (Code Brew at 6:30pm).

Hopefully, this won't be an inconvenience to you.  I am looking forward to seeing you there!

It is May already!  Seems like 2010 is going very quickly.  The exciting news is that we have over 40 folks who have joined the group online (woot!).  I hope to see you at the meeting this week :o)

The number of our members started me thinking about additional ways we can connect.  Conference calls, online chats, outings, what do you think?  Please let me know your ideas - as I want to make the group a fun and helpful place for us all.

Hi all!

It turns out that Code Brew is only open until 8pm on Wednesdays.  So we have two choices to decide between:

Keep the meeting day the third Wednesday of the month, but bump the starting time to 6 or 6:30
or
Change the day to one between Thursday and Saturday - and start at 7 as we have been.

Please blog, or PM your preference to me this week.

Also, we haven't been having a very big turnout (even though the folks who have been coming are terrific and we have had great meetings).  So I need to ask you to please let me know (and please don't hesitate to be honest) what we should change that would inspire you to come to our meetings.

Thanks to the awesome folks who came out last night!  We had a good meeting and a very active discussion about pre-op questions and issues.

Next month we'll talk more about what its like to be a pre-op and also more about what its like to be out of the 'honeymoon' period.  As always, we'll share our victories large and small.

I will be bringing my clean & size marked clothes for exchange.  For anyone who would like to exchange, please bring yours and we can swap at the end of the meeting!

I encourage you to bring your friends who are researching WLS, who are pre-op and also post-ops to the meetings. We can all learn from each other & benefit from the support and encouragement of the group.

Our first Wednesday night meeting! It will be in the meeting room inside Code Brew coffeehouse, which in in the Streets of Brentwood.

The meeting will start at 7pm - I look forward to seeing you then!

For January, we are going to try a conference call meeting next Wednesday the 20th, at 7:00pm. We will be using a free conference call service (only your normal long distance charges will apply to you).  The call in details are:

In February, we will pick up with meeting the third Wednesday (the 17th) at 7:00pm in person.  I will notify everyone and put a note in the the blog regarding the location well before then.

Hi all - I have received some feedback that suggested a mid-week evening meeting would be more convenient for many of you.

I am suggesting the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm - how does that sound?  If enough folks are interested, I will confirm the room and let you all know.
