1 Year

Hard to believe it has been a year already. So much has changed in my life. I go on nature walks with my daughter. We go to the gym 2-3 times a week, I have muscles, lol.  I feel like I am living again, not sitting and watching the world go by. I am dating a great guy, he gets along great with my daughter. Things are only getting better. I still have alot to lose but when I look back, I never thought I would be where I am now. A year ago, I couldn't walk, now I walk all the time, I love it. I went to Chicago with the Girl Scouts and I DIDN"T have to use an electric scooter like I did last year when we went to St. Louis. I was able to go and do things with the girls. I went swimming, NEVER thought I would put on a suit in front of others again lol.  I did lose alot of my hair but it is slowly growing back, I went into a depression because of that and because I was at the same weight for a few months. I turned back to my comfort...FOOD....I messed up bad and was eating stuff I knew I shouldn't, I am getting myself back on track and the weight is coming off again.  This is not an easy way out and I am proud of everyone who has had the courage to have this surgery. You are all STRONG and it is worth everything you go thru.

Mar 31, 2008

I just found a note where my starting weight was actually 485 not 479. That makes a little bit of a difference, lol. So I have lost 174 pounds wooohooo.
