"I had heard only good things about Dr. Pearce from my sister, who had surgery with him about a year ago, from a good friend who had surgery with him about two years ago, and then on many different forums and chat groups.
I have great confidence in Dr. Pearce, due to his extensive experience in doing bariatric surgery (since the '60s) and especially with doing revisions from the VBG to the RNY.
His staff is very friendly and professional - no complaints at all!
Dr. Pearce demands quite a few pre-surgery tests: psychiatric evaluation, esophageal scope (maybe only for VBG revisions?), ultrasound of legs, chest x-ray, ultrasound on heart and EKG, blood gas test (and maybe some others that I've forgotten).
I definitely chose Dr. Pearce because I trust his experience, skill and ability, but he has a very good bedside manner, too!
The only slight negative I have to say is that Dr. Pearce is probably in his 70s, although he doesn't look it... and he is retiring at the end of this year. If you want him to do your surgery, better call today! :-)"
