Hello all:

I just wanted to do a quick intro :) 

I have been considering WLS for several years. I started the lengthy insurance process a year ago. As I was wrapping up the final pieces I had a TIA. Treatment post TIA indicates a likely stroke that effected a part of my brain not used in cognitive function. This really helped me be sure of my choice to go forward with surgery. I had cardiac issues at my pre op ekg and had to get cleared by the cardiologist. Thankfully I work for the medical group as a medical assistant and they bent over backwards and got me approved and cleared Tuesday. 

I check into Mercy San Juan medical center in 36 hours. I'm nervous. More nervous than any other surgery I have done. I'm afraid of failing, as I have with my weight so many times. I'm ready to take this step though. Finally.
