I've been heavy all my life. In 2013 I had the Sleeve @322lbs. I lost 75lbs. in the 1st yr. At 250, I was still obese, my support groups and family were 2 hrs. away, and the phone and online only go so far, for me, I need human contact, face to face. I seem to do best with that kind of interaction. Now over the past 3 yrs., Life happened, I lost my father to cancer, my wife was diagnosed, and my job downsized all during the 1st yr, and I've regained 50lbs, from bad eating/snacking habits, not that I'm hungry but that I know it tastes good. More a mental thing, than hunger. I'm now considering the bypass, which I was initailly approved for but I felt it was too drastic at the time. For the last 2 months I've been watching my calories, exercising daily and re-educating myself on what I need to do for success! I am now 30 minutes away from support groups, my wife is a RN and if I get tempted she's there to make me toe-the-line.I do not have a surgery date yet but I have started the process and have a string of Dr. appts. in the near future.

UPDATE:

I now have a R-N-Y surgery date of Aug,10,2018

I have been cautioned by the first surgeon that I spoke with about there being almost no "honeymoon" period for the revision to the RNY bypass, so if that is true then I will have to go above and beyond to lose this weight that I have re-gained from the first (sleeve) surgery. But I can not continue in my current condition and there must be change and I'm the only one that has control over that, so that's what I must do.
