On March 23rd 2018 I am proud to say that I was sleeved it has been a long journey leading up to this moment.To anyone considering weight loss surgery I would just like to say don't give up and don't let anyone doubt you be strong be patient and never lose hope you've got this

It has been such a long process but I must say it has been worth it I started this journey August of last year and I have now reached my 2 week liquid diet(I'm on day 2) stage and have been scheduled for my endoscopy on Friday and my surgery is scheduled for March 19th.

About the liquid diet I am on day 2 I made it I won't say that it's hard but it for damn sure isn't easy just taking it one day at a time and finding ways to make the shakes broth and jello interesting My diet requires 3 premier protein shakes a day 2 Greek yogurt as well as broth sugar free jello sugar free Powerade etc. 

Im a little late but anyway I had my follow up Bariatric visit from consultation on October 6th.My weight was taken and I didn't lose any weight???? but I didn't gain any either.Also my food log was reviewed we discussed areas that I could improve as far as nutrition and discussed adding exercise (walking).There's really nothing to it looking forward to the next visit and feeling confident in completing my goals one by one.Next steps are psychologists visits and to attend a seminar.Kinda nervous about the physiology visit????

So I went to my first pre op appointment.My doctor discussed the surgery,my medical history we done another ekg.I spoke with my nutritionist sampled a few protein shakes (The injury was terrible!!!)Lets see what else I was put on a low carb high protein diet given a iron supplement and multi vitamin and scheduled my next 5 appointments.I want given an "official" surgery date but since my last appointment is in February my surgery will be around March or earlier I am taking control and claiming that date.Thoughts become things!!!

It has been awhile since I've logged in but so far so good I have been hanging in there.2 more months until my surgeon visit.But I'm afraid that they may start me all over again it wont be so bad if all goes well even with starting over I should be getting surgery around March of 2018.

Today I had my labs and ekg done waiting for the results and I got a call from the hospital my first appointment will be September 5th small steps but so far to go.
