My Name is Don.

I’m 41 year old Male from Northern IL / Southern WI.
I’m close to Chicago, but not close enough to say I’m from there. lol

In 2017 I was 465 lbs. After decades of yo yo dieting and having already attempted everything under the sun to lose weight, I decided to give bariatric surgery a try. Sleeved in 2/17 I lost 170 lbs in the first 6 mo and over the course of the next 9 mo was able to get my weight loss to a total of 250 lbs in 15 mo.

Weight Loss surgery changed my life in ways I never could of imagined.
It inspired me to make drastic changes in my life. DRASTIC!
I was able to revert back to the old me… the version of me that I never realized I had lost along the way.

I believe at our core, as humans, we have within us the ability to changes peoples lives profoundly for either good or bad. I believe in investing time and energy in our fellow friends and neighbors as the universe brings that good will back to us 10X!

I’m an open book, and willing to discuss any and all aspects of my journey with anyone in the hope it will help them. Because of that I stared a podcast in 2018 that aims to motivate, educate, and inspire others on their weight loss journey.

Myself and the podcast are not “PRO” bariatric surgery, we are pro people. We aim to support you on your weight loss journey in any way we can. Bariatric surgery is what worked for me, but that may not work for you. By interviewing others who have battled their weight loss demons and won, we aim to provide you with helpful information that will help you build an “ala-carte” approach to your own weight loss journey.

If you can take a little from him, and a little more from her, and perhaps a whole lot from someone else… perhaps you can find an approach that finally works for you!

Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you think I can be of assistance to you.
I’m happy to be a part of any weight loss community that aims to supporting each other on our journey.

My journey will not be yours, but there will be overlap and themes that are very familiar!

My inbox is always open!
