Gwendolyn, Hang in there, I know its not easy. I waited 7 months for my surgery and that was hard enough, but as I think back I wonder where the time went. I have been banded a week now and Im still recovering, not feelin to bad though. I wish you all the best in your upcoming surgery. Thoughts and prayers will be with you. Take care!

Dear Gwendolyn, I had 5 denials and appeals. I too felt helpless at times. I felt like my surgery date would never get here. But I am living proof that we can hold on, because I am now on the other side. Please don't despair. Just keep researching and finding out more about wls. Keep going to the support groups and find ways you can help others in your situation. Before you know it, you will bo on the losing side!

Gwendolyn-Happy to know everything went well with your PCP consult. I see you are seeing Dr. Chapman as well. I really like him and the staff. I don't really remember seeing you at the support group meeting in July, but I hope to see you there next month. Hope everything else goes smoothly for you.
