Hi Jessica, Best of luck with your surgery! In regards to the protein supplements, vitalady.com has samples that you can purchase for 1.99 each. I have tried the problend 55-swiss chocolate, didn't like it. I haven't tried the others I ordered yet. I like the idea of ordering samples, that way you are not stuck with 2 lbs of nasty stuff :-) The problend 55 has 27 grams 1 scoop, 4 oz of water. I like the sugar free chocolate carnation instant breakfast, mix 1 pkg with 6 Tbsp of nonfat dry milk and 8 oz of skim milk, it's 20 grams of protein. Also high protein hot chocolate, 8 oz skim milk, 2 Tbsp sugar free hot chocolate mix, and 2 Tbsp of dry milk= 16 grams of protein and taste good too.
