~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

Sandra! Hi there and CONGRATS on choosing the DS/bpd!! WOO HOO Im so excited for you!! I had the DS/bpd on 2/20/03 and on 6/20 (4mo anniversary) I was down 88#! You can read my story by clicking on my highlighted name at the bottom of this post. But I can tell you this now! GOD BLESS THE INVENTOR OF THE DS AND FOR MY SURGEON!! I get about 2000 cal. in a day and I never feel deprived! I eat more now than I did pre op...only because then I only ate supper..of course my meals are much smaller. But I can eat anything I want...just focusing on protien first of course. I stay clear of pasta and breads (carbs) as they give me the toots...thats the only complaint/complication I have, and I was 478# the day of surgery so I feel pretty lucky to say that! This is OUR year and we are going to do great! I wish you a fast and easy recovery and a safe operation! YOU WILL DO GREAT! Just stay positive and remember that you deserve this and all the good that comes with it! HUGS and HEALTH! Lisa :)
