"I first met Dr. Felix at an informational seminar. I originally got his name from www.asbs.org. I enjoyed the seminar, although most of the information was review. That was the case only because I had already done so much research on the internet. I was given an information packet to take home that goes over all the risks and potential benefits of WLS. They also require that patients write a letter to show they understand every aspect of WLS - risks, benefits, risks of morbid obesity, etc. I had my initial consult at his office with a nurse practitioner on 7-11-2000. His office staff was great! They are REAL people. They made me feel that they are my advocates to get approval. I'll keep you posted with updated information."
