Hello All:)Unfortunately Stacie will have to undergo another surgery tomorrow afternoon. It seems that the infection caused a hole in her colon & Dr. Veninga is going to try to close it. There is a possibility that the tissue is damaged to the point that a temporary colostomy bag might be necessary. But we won't know until after the surgery tomorrow afternoon. Stacie was moved to another room this evening. She is now in room #465, the direct ph# is 972-981-7465. She has been awake and alert right out of the recovery room after each surgery. Tomorrow's surgery is not til sometime between 4-6pm, so if you want to call, do it early in the day. Stacie & her family were not happy to learn that this little setback will keep her in the hospital an extra week. Now instead of this being a 2week stay it's gonna be 3 weeks:( Stacie was having panic attacks all day today, but Dr. Veninga has ordered some meds to help with that. She is currently being fed through her g-tube and taking nothing by mouth other than ice chips or water. They have finally established a pic line for IV's and bloodwork. Up until today the risk of further infection has kept them from establishing the pic line. This is good news as Stacie has become a pincushion. Most sites they have used for IV's wouldn't even last 24hrs. The really Good News is that the infection has been cleared up and under control:) Stacie is trying to keep her spirits up and has been reading in her Bible for comfort. Her DH Matt has been by her side almost constantly. When he needs a break, his Mom, Bonnie is there to be with Stacie. She is getting visits from friends & family, but wants most of all to be able to be home with her 18 month old son, Chase. I am going to visit her tomorrow before noon, so please take a minute & post a messages of encouragement for me to show her when I go:) Please keep her in your prayers as she can use all the help she can get:) Sending Warm Healing Skinny Thoughts to All:) ttfn

Hello All:) I just talked to Stacie's DH Matt. Stacie came out of surgery just fine. Doc says she's doing good, they now have her hooked up to a vacuum pump for drainage. She didn't get into surgery til about noon, instead of 9am. So she had only been back in her room a little over 30 minutes & was still "out of it". Maybe I'll catch her awake & in the room when I call tomorrow:) She still has another surgery to go on Monday, so please keep her in your thoughts & prayers:) Sending Warm Healing Skinny Thoughts to All:) ttfn

Hello All:) Again I have Good News & Bad News to report. The Bad News is that Stacie found out the Hard Way that she is allergic to Demoral:( The Good News is that they aren't gonna give her any more:) But the Really Good news is that she was walking the halls when I called to check up on her:) I talked to her DH Matt again this evening and he said that she is doing quite well considering all she's having to go through. Matt said that Dr. Veninga thinks things are going well also. Stacie is scheduled for her next surgery at 9am tomorrow(Saturday). So please keep those Prayers and words of Encouragement coming. Stacie definately needs all the "Help" she can get:) Sending Warm Healing Skinny Thoughts to All:) ttfn

Hello All:) I am Happy to report that Stacie did OK in surgery again this morning:) I talked to her DH Matt and he said that all went well, but they still will have to go in on Saturday and again on Monday. Stacie is in room #458 and her ph# is 972-981-7458. She said that I could post the Ph# direct to her room, but I think she'll be "out of it" til probably Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll check on her again tomorrow. Please keep her in your prayers:) Sending Warm Healing Skinny Thoughts to ALL:) ttfn
