Roslyn, Congratualtions on your surgery and weight loss. Thank you for writing such detailed posts about the hospital stay and the first week home. My surgery is 9/12 and I'm "hungry" for stories. It sounds like you had outstanding pre-op care and that you are well on your way. Be sure to pamper yourself as much as possible! I think it is great!!!! that you've started your walking program so soon; with that kind of effort I'm sure you'll continue to do splendidly! Cheers, Katherine

Dear Roslyn, Tomorrow is the day for a new beginning for you. I know you are nervous and excited at the same time. If we can survive all of the stuff for insurance, all the letters that have to be written, and all the appointments to go thru pre-op, the surgery should be easy after all that is said and done. It will be smooth sailing from here on out, for me to have the surgery in less than 2 weeks, and you in a few hours. It really does help to reach out and think positively. I have made myself an inspirational tape and I have been going thru books like 2 or 3 a week. Please keep us updated about your surgery, and feel free to email me if you need to talk.
