Hi, Karen--saw your comment re the clothes. I'm one of the ones hoping to send stuff to a couple of peoples' way. I'm writing you because I saw from your profile that we began in almost the exact same place. I'm 46, 5'5" and was 335. I had open RNY on 7/25/02, and am down 90 lbs as of this morning. Want a buddy along the way? If so, write me at [email protected]. Amy

Thanks for the info you gave me on Splenda. I am really glad to hear that it has no after taste. By the way, I read your profile, and congratulations on your weight loss.

October 09th Dear Karen: Greetings! I read your post today and discovered that we are both in 'angel' service to Angie! I thought it would be nice if we came to know each other a bit so we could serve Angie in the best way possible? I had Lap-RNY on August 20th of this year; then, two weeks ago, I had OPEN surgery to repair two adhesion obstructions! So, I've experienced both ends of this surgery---you could say. I'm glad you're feeling better. We both started out about the same weight/BMI. I was 324 lb at surgery time; Last weigh-in (last week) I was 291 lb. Anyway, give me a write back and tell me how you're doing and how you would like to coordinate with helping Angie (if you would like to do that). Sincerely, Lori Ann

I just spoke with Karen about 30 minutes ago and she said she had been up and moving most of the day. She also said she gets to go home on Wednesday after her son gets out of school. We should all have her get up and go attitude. :) She should be posting again soon. Send her your prayers.
