I returned home yesterday after my open RNY on Monday. I am doing well. I would like to express my gratitude to all of you who graciously share your thoughts and what you went through. This allowed me to not really have any surprises (except that milk & molasses enema)and be prepared for what to expect. Several of the women who had surgery the day as I had never even heard of this site! I cannot imagine having gone through this without the valuable information this site made availabe to me. BTC provides you with some very fine tongs---my roommate thought I was kidding her when I told her what their use was. If not for you folks, I wouldn't have known either. Thanks again!

Now wait - I have to put on my unofficial wings here. Just spoke to Pat B. - - As you know she had her surgery yesterday about noon. She just got in to her room from the recovery/holding room. She says she feels good -sore - but as long as she doesn't move she's doing great. I asked her what she wanted me to say to you guys - Tell them I'm alive and well. She said she wasn't allowed much rest - someone was checking on them, taking blood pressures etc. all night. She sounded great and cheerful. I am SOOOO happy it's over for you - And now go get walking girl!! - Sally
