Rancocas Valley Hospital

"Like others who have reviewed this hospital, my day and a half in ICU was great- the nurses were attentive and kind. However, once I was moved to my regular room, there were nurses (not all of them) who were miserable and not helpful at all. My roommate and I had to wait over 30 minutes on several occasions after clicking the call buttons for anyone to come in. They were nice enough to me (I didn't ask for much and mostly took care of myself), but they were very rude to my roommate, who needed their help often. (This does not apply to ALL nurses, but the bad ones always seemed to be shifted together.) It was noisy and I got very little rest, though my roommate gets most of the credit for that one."

David Greenbaum

"So far Dr. Greenbaum seems great. I feel really comfortable with him, which is very important. Some of the other doctors that I visited for consultations before I saw Dr. G. made me feel a little uncomfortable or stupid, so I was expecting the same thing from him, but it wasn't like that at all. I was taken aback at first by his frankness... sometimes I still am, but I think that the best way to deal with this is by being straightforward, and Dr. G is definitely so. Dr. Greenbaum is very committed to all of his patients, before and after the surgery. He has a structured support group, which is free to attend before the surgery because he wants you to find out as much information as you can so you are well prepared. However, before he will operate on you, you must pay a Support Group Fee, which is a lifetime membership. It seemed a bit steep of a price, especially when you consider that you might not go to every meeting, but like he said, he has a certain standard of care that he requires for his patients. I think the fee goes toward guest speakers, literature, and things like that. Overall, I would say that he seems very knowledgeable about the surgery, and he and his office staff have great bedside manners."
