I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~

Kathy Baldree: I noticed your question about throwing up, feeling like a 'heart-attack'. For one- you may be eating too fast; or too much; or can't tolerate what you are eating yet and need to go back to another stage of foods. At any rate- you should contact your Surgeon for any type of Medical issue such as this. At the very least call and ask the Nurse at your Surgeons office. I see so many people ask questions on this site and I wonder WHY? They need to be calling their Surgeon FIRST-then post the problem and what their Surgeon may have suggested. Just an idea.

Kathy, I am still on pureed foods right now. I am eating a boiled or scrambled egg. I also have had turkey chili with beans (low fat). I have had deviled ham, canned salmon, tuna, canned chicken, pureed chicken. I bought one of those rotissiare (spelling?) chickens and took off some and pureed it in the blender and it was really good. If you want more protien in your CIB add some protien base. Here is the recipe, mix 1 and 1/3 cup of powdered milk into 1 quart of skim milk. When you add one cup of that to your CIB, it makes it 20 grams of protien. I also add one equal. Good luck---email you if you have questions.

Hi supporters, I am 5 days post op and so far so good. I think the worse things were the heparin shots in my leg but I know I needed them because of my blood. I just want to thank you all for being so supportive these days leading up to surgery and as each day goes by and I feel my strength regain, I will write more and more. Thank you again and so far everything has gone as it should. If anyone can offer any other things besides CIB I would appreciate, I have already gotten tired of it and I tried applesauce from Musscleman because it was sweetened by Spleenda. I kinda laid there. Thanks again, and I will posting more later.. Kathy
