I don't have an angel and I'm having surgery on April 8th, in a little over a week. I'm starting to get a little anxious and could use a little encouragement. My surgery is at 1:30 in the afternoon at St Vincent Charity in Cleveland Ohio Dr Schreiber will be doing the surgery. I'm really not nervous, I'm very much at peace about it and know it is the right thing for me. Very soon I will be a posty....

Sue, I'm wishing you a safe, complication free surgery and a quick, smooth recovery. I had my Open RNY on 12/10/01 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having had done it several years ago. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you start your new, healthier life.

Hi sue, Best of luck to you on your upcoming surgery!! I remember how happy, nervous, scared and excited I was just before mine. It is the best thing u can do for yourself, it is hard in the beginning but you'll do GREAT! You're in my thoughts and prayers....

As another 50+, waiting to see a surgeon, I'll wish you the best. Guess we should use these waiting months to get ourselves in the best possible condition for surgery. I've started doing deep breathing exercises, have been taking vitamins for years, but will be checking out protein supplements. I'm trying to lose a few pounds also.
