Hi Everyone! Well, I am 12 days postop and I just wanted to check in with everyone. I'm doing better every day, but still not feeling great. I had a horrible time in the hospital with back spasms and also after I got home. I came home on my 3rd postop day. It has gotten better every day. I try to walk outside at least 3-5 times a day. Not like a marathon, but further each day. Having little pain from the incision. Most of it is at the top of it and I am very sore around my rib cage area. My biggest problem I am having is wanting to eat. I said preop that I didn't think missing the food would be an issue...boy how you can't make those kinds of comments until you are postop. I am still on a clear liquid diet until I see my surgeon on July 5th and it's about to kill me. I want something to eat so bad. I feel like nothing has changed. Well, I'm not starving and I know it's head hunger, but it feels like I could just eat a burger and fries without any problem. I'm sure after I did it it would make me sick. That is my worst problem right now. Are there others who felt this way? 18 days is a long time to be on clear liquids!!!!!!!!!!! I hate it! Other than that, I tire easily, but I am still getting better and better each day. Thank God Almighty that my back pain and muscle spasms have let up. That was the worse part of the surgery. Thanks for thinking of me and for helping me through this. Thank you TINA for helping me every step of the way. I know I have worn you out and that I have been cranky at times, but you know you are the best and I am VERY thankful to have you helping me. You are next and I will be there for you too. That's it for now. Take care everyone and I will be praying for everyone preop and postop.

~~^j^~~Angel Update~~^j^~~I just left the hospital a little while ago and Tracy is doing great! She had her first meal this morning which consisted of broth, Carnation Instant Breakfast, and jello. She had some of the broth and Carnation and did just fine. She's having some muscle spasms in her tummy but doing well. She walked 4 times last night. I know she didn't want to but this is something we've GOT to do!! Please continue to keep Tracy in your prayers and take a second to drop by her surgery page and show your support.

~~^j^~~Angel update~~First, let me say Thank You Almighty God for keeping Tracy safe and free from harm during her surgery today. Secondly, thank you to all of you who took a second out of your day to say a prayer for her. Tracy went into surgery at 11:00 this morning and was in recovery by 1:30. After a 2-hour stay in recovery, she was brought up to her room, awake, alert, but in quit a bit of pain. Dr. Gorospe said she did just great during surgery. PHEW!!!!!!! Thank you, Dr. Gorospe and Michele Leaming along with the rest of the OR staff...Thank you for bringing my best friend through this. Please keep Tracy in your thoughts and prayers for a quick and uneventful recovery.

Way to go Tracy! I can't believe we've made it to this day! It seemed like it would never get here and now it's here! I just want to take a few minutes and remind you just how special you are to me. I've had many friends but none that I can truly be myself with ALL the time. You make me laugh, you've made me cry, you've made me stop and think, you've given me courage when I had none, you've been my inspiration so many times when I needed to see, you've been my only source of hope more than once, you've been my "mom" when I needed guidance, but more than all of this, you've been my friend. I know everything is going to be okay tomorrow. I know that God will be with Dr. Gorospe tomorrow morning in that OR, and I among many others will be there too. You mean the world to me and I hope that I've shown it. I love you and I love being your friend.
