Dr. Neil Marymor was my original choice. However, after the process was started I learned that BTC and thus Dr. Marymor were not Aetna preferred providers and it would cost me $4,000 out of pocket if I was approved and used Dr. Marymor. Thus, through the many postings online I learned of two doctors in Toledo, Ohio who were Aetna preferred providers that do this surgery and had just as much experience as Dr. Marymor. I selected Dr. Celik and am pleased that I did. This way I can stay in Ohio and be near home (I live in Bowling Green) plus, since Dr. Celik is on Aetna's list of providers, the maximum it will cost me out-of-pocket is $750--let's see I think that's less than the $4,000--so, it was simply economics that made me change surgeons. I neglected to check Aetna's site for doctors more thoroughly before scheduling my appointment. When it comes to insurance matters, you learn something new every day.
