Wendy ~~ Do not let this doctor put you in such depression. Find another surgeon, you live in or near a major city. There have to be several dr who are qualified to do wls. {"I HAVE HEARD YOUR PRAYERS, I HAVE SEEN YOUR TEARS. SURELY, I WILL HEAL YOU." 2 KINGS 20:5} Remember, you are not alone in this battle. Your hubby is with you, your family, you AMOS family and best of all, our Lord is with you. {"I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST, WHO STRENGTHENS ME." PHILIPPIANS 4:13} Don't let this door slam shut in your face, open that window and climb out it. Look at this as your test to see how hard you will fight to be healthy. We all know how bad you want this so, climb through that window and find yourself another doctor. Sisters through waiting for WLS to have a healthier life!!! Prayers & Best Wishes, Janie

Dear Wendy~~~I am so very sorry to hear that your surgery is being postponed. I can only imagine that it is disheartening to say the least. Please followup with the hematologist to find out why you are anemic and what they can do to treat you. As a result of my Open DS I am anemic. I am on quite a number of iron compounds but the numbers don't budge. Anemia preop is always something docs want to address. I hope that your time away from AMOS helps you settle your thoughts but please come back to us, we are here for you. I wish you luck and strength in losing the weight you have recently gained. Wendy-I am so sorry to hear of your postponement. I really think you need to find another surgeon that is more sensitive. I think it's terrible that he would penalize you for gaining weight over 10 months. Thank God mine didn't. I know I gained weight between my initial consult and my pre-op exam. Hang in there and start fighting for your right to live.

WENDY: RE: Surgery Cancelation Hang in there girl. When God closes a door he opens a window. What other surgeons are in your area?? You have insurance approval, which is the hardest obstacle. Use your anger and hurt to find another doc! I will pray for you. God Bless. Kelly R

Sorry to hear about your cancelled surgery. Please, don't give up!! Keep trying to find a doctor that doesn't penalize you for gaining a few pounds. My gosh - we're asking weight loss surgery because we can't control our weight! Those that are not suffering from M/O will just never understand!! Hugs, love, and peace - Mel
