Thomas Batay-Csorba

"Dr Batay-Csorba was very informative. He answered all the questions that my mother and I had. He wasn't pushy about whether or not I should have the surgery, he simply stated that I was a good canidate for the RNY. As I waited for my surgery date, I was kept informed by his staff of my status. He made sure that I felt okay the day of surgery. The office staff was terrific. They were very helpful and supportive during a very hard decision. I believe that Dr Batay-Csorba will tell you straight out about complications you might experience, and the fact that this surgery is not for everyone. He recommended that I have a psych. evaulation before my surgery. This actually was for my insurance company, but for myself also. It allowed me to see the real reason I was having this procedure. Aftercare is very important to him, he stresses that during your recovery process your insides are still healing and that is why it is important to follow the aftercare program. I fell that the aftercare program, even though not eating real food for 6 weeks is hard, the aftercare program is very detailed and easy to follow. You know exactly what you can eat and when, and what you can't have. There are risks in any surgery, however, I really believe that the people who are performing your surgical procedure are used to dealing with overweight people and therefore they are the best at what they do. I fell that Dr. Batay-Csorba is my knight in shining armor, he gave me back my life. Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Richard Simmons have never been able to do what Dr. Batay-Csorba has done for me. Both his competence and bedside manner were great, He was always willing to reasure you and made sure that you were comfortable. I had a problem with my catather, he made sure that he explained what had happened and why they chose to leave my cathater in until I was discharged. "
