Well it has been 3 and a half months since surgery! It has been the most wonderful thing I could have ever done for myself! I have lost about 82 pounds now I do believe! Just incredible! I feel GREAT! And have no side effects....I don't get sick at all! I hope everyone has the same experience I am having!!

Hi all! Post op here! Yahoo! It has been a little over 2 weeks and I am back to work feeling pretty good! My work clothes are feeling looser on me! What a wonderful feeling that is! I am just so happy to be on the other side!

Well.....my day is finally here. Tomorrow at 7:30am I will be going in for my surgery at last! It seems like it has taken forever to get here but the day has come! Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes! I wish you all the best of luck! May God bless you all!!!!

Congratulations Kori !! I just had my consultation a few days ago and am waiting for approval from HealthNet. How many weeks after your approval did you get a surgery date ? I ask because my insurance is up at the end of the year and I need this done before I go back to school. Please let me know !!

I went yesterday to do some of my pre-op testing! It went a lot better than I expected. I did my gallbladder ultrasound, bloodwork-up, chest x-ray, dietary consult, psych evaluation, respiratory testing and blood gases! They had to do my blood gases twice cause my blood stopped flowing on the first so not enough to test! I thought they were going to come out through my elbow with the needle on the first test! LOL They set my surgery for 7:30am on the 2nd. I'm glad to be the first of the day when he is still fresh! i'm getting quite excited now!!

Hello Kori- I'm so happy for you on your up coming surgery. I am also with Dr. LePort and my surgery is on Oct 4th. I wish you luck and pray that everything goes well and you have a speedy and easy recovery. Keep the faith.

I'm not sure if I am posting this correctly to my own profile but...here goes! I have a little more than a month to go for my surgery date. I can't wait everyday I want to call my doctor to see if they have a cancellation and I can slip in to have it done NOW! But I guess I will wait for my turn patiently! I appreciate all the emails and support from the community online. What a fabulous resource! Thank you all so much for your kind words! See you all on the other side SOON! Kori
