Happy 2 Year Re-birthday to you!!! I found this quote and just love it! When running up a hill, it’s alright to give up as many times as you wish – as long as your feet keep moving. I went to see Fred this morning and he was looking GREAT!! GOOD WORK FRED!! He had all tubes and wires disconnected and out except the catheter, and that was scheduled to go shortly after I left. We did a lap around the floor, and Fred was moving well, talking and joking, and generally feeling pretty good. :-) He's going to have some blenderized food today and might possibly leave the hospital tonight; if not tonight, then tomorrow for sure. Don't know if we'll see him at Tuesday's EMOSS meeting (for a hero's welcome), but we'll definitely see him online soon. Can't wait! Welcome to the other side, Fred!! If the scale is right, he's already down 4 pounds!!

This update is from Becky Lockridge, Fred's daughter. Hey everyone, thanks for contacting me to check on my dad/Fred. He went in for his open VBG with Dr. Weber at Swedish Ballard this morning at 9 am and is now [1 pm] in his room. My mom just called a few minutes ago and says he is doing really well. I actually spoke to him, he grunted back, it was a good grunt. I am sure he won't remember it in the morning. My mom sounded good and relaxed which also tells me that my dad is doing well. :-) Dr. Weber was all smiles and said he had a little trouble with exposure (similar issue that I had), but because my dad wasn't as extreme as me and Dr. Weber was prepared for this, it was a non-issue for Dr. Weber. My dad is at Swedish Ballard in room #417, just 2 doors down from my old room, fortunately, he is on the quiet end of the hall. :-) If you want to call him, his number is 206-781-6428, my mom is there and is ready to stay the night. Thank you all for your good wishes and kind words. It has meant a great deal to my dad to have your support, you are like a second family. :-) I will update more later today after I visit him tonight. Becky EMOSS Support Group
