I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**

well, have no real "heah hunger" yet being from La. we live to eat and eat to live hehe but we do know how to eat and made it prority, but i tell you what i have learned that eating is just something i had to learn how to control with the help of this surgery which is just a tool.it was not a cure and my doc told me i had to work at it.i wasn't overweight all mt life so i guess it was not as hard to get in the swing of things but sometimes i can go for a long period of time and not eat, which is not good,i forget...but i do maintain with vitamins and exercise which is very new for me.you keep up the good work it is sooooo worth it!!! thank you for your post..cheryl

Marilyn may God truly bless you as you continue on your journey. The key is not to give up. I know that we've been given a wonderful tool and it takes time to learn and accept how to use it. Take all of that negativity and use it to your advantage, in the form of excercise and something else positive. Take care of yourself my sister and please stay encouraged. God Bless, Lenay

Nov 4, 2002: I have lost approximately 70 pounds. I have had a lot of problems with my head hunger. Some weeks I lose and some weeks I gain. We don't have an eating disorder councellor in our town so I am trying to overcome it myself. I do not regret having the surgery, as I have benefited healthwise tremendously. However, I wish there were a support system for self-talk, depression and anger. It has been difficult to get back on regular food and I dump all the time when I try. Except I am able to eat most carbs without a dump. So when I get hungry, I drift to the carbs. Since I am a carb junkie, I am in the same boat as I was before surgery, I just can't eat as much at one time. Because of all this my weight loss has slowed down and that is very disappointing. But I will get through this and still come out a winner. I know what I am supposed to do, but getting it done is the hard part. I am going to start exercising. Maybe that will help. I have been unable to do much of that because of my knees and legs. So I will sign off for now and hope I am more cheerful the next time I update. With love and best wishes to you all, Marilyn

Here's the latest on everyones favorite incredible shrinking lady. She's down over 60 + pounds now. WOW let me see, June 3rd, July 3rd, August 3rd, September 3rd. Just over 3 full months now, Soooo in an incredibly short period of time she's lost 12 NFL size footballs, twelve that’s really incredible when you think about it. It would be real hard for me to pick up a sport bag with 12 footballs in it and sling it onto my back and carry it, so it looks like she’s losing about 4 footballs a month. She reports that she is getting around easier, and has more energy....an understatement. She gets around by herself now, (Driving) where she didn't at all before, she’s been visiting me at my house allot more frequently. Which is very pleasant. She brings grama Lena out for visits. She is becoming more and more independent, She’s my hero…I tell everyone how proud of her that I am. I love her more and more each time I see her and get to hug her….Alan Cady

Went to the Doctor last week. I have lost 57 1/2 pounds. Feel pretty good. Having a little trouble eating real food. Baby food still goes down best. Have a lot more energy and can get a lot more done. Looking forward to a visit from my daughter Lindy on Oct 4th. Enjoying the wonderful fall weather here in the Great Northwest and keeping in touch with some of the WLS girls in my area. Found a protein drink that has 40 grams of protein called Designer Whey. You can find it at the GNC store. It is $2.99 for 16 oz. I usually sip mine all day long. An easy way to get a lot of protein fast. 170 calories. It doesn't taste too bad. Will update more later. I am still off oxygen in the daytime and all my meds. That feels really good. Wish you all well. With love, Marilyn
