William Kastrinakis
"My first impression was that Dr. Kastrinakas is very competent in his abilities. He was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about his patients. He thoroughly discussed the risks of surgery. His staff is TOPS (especially Jane). Friendly, understanding, determined to help, always available for questions. The program at Salem Hospital is superb - great aftercare, including exercise programs, nutrition counseling and support group meetings. They have really tried to put together the best of everything to make the program work. My surgery went great! Dr. Kastrinakas is highly skilled. My scar is picture perfect, and much, MUCH smaller than I expected. He is also very kind. Guess I got lucky - competence and a great bed-side manner! I can't think of anything negative to say... Ok, here's one - they are very busy, so sometimes you have to leave a message on the machine. There is an emergency pager # though, and the doctor himself calls back as soon as he can even if it's not urgent. So we'll give it a 99.9% positive review...LOL!"

Zero Carb Premixed/Prebottled
"Some flavors are better than others, but some really are very good. Much like a Kool-Aid type drink, which is perfect if you are lactose intolerant, or just do not like shakes. No nutritional value other than protien and potassium, but great add-on to your daily protien count."

Salem Hospital
"The nursing staff at Salem is AWESOME. They always responed to me no matter how busy they were, and they took care of some of the "personal" issues you face while you recover without even blinking. They often said, "Let me take care of that for you." and it was done! They were so genuinely concerned that there was no embarassment or anything. They're top priority was making you as comfortable as possible. I was very impressed!"
