Yale-New Haven Hospital

"Most of staff had a very poor attitude. Rushed and felt I was bothering them. Seemed clueless as how to move obese patients. You were pretty much left to fend for yourself. Would have liked to have walked more but couldn't get out of bed alone. Anytime I did walk I was on my own."

Robert Bell

"I haven't met Dr. Bell yet. He requires your evaluations by a nutritionist and psychologist before hand. He also needs referal letters from pcp before setting up an appointment. I have my evaluations set up for February so I'm hoping to have my first visit in March. I finally met Dr. Bell on 4/11/03. Our first meeting was in a group of 12. I was extremely impressed with the doctor and his staff. Very professional, organized and compassionate. Dr. Bell explained the surgery in great detail and met with us until all our questions were answered. He seems to genuinely care about his patients. He greatly emphasizes aftercare and has monthly support meetings at the hospital. He was very upfront about the risks and gave advise on how to minimize. I feel I've made the right decision and feel he is very competent. I feel he'll have great bedside manner also and he's pretty cute too!!!"
