"My first impression of Dr. Schuricht was that he was very friendly and down to earth, with a great sense of humor. Dr. Schuricht is very knowledgeable and confident, which has made me more comfortable with my decision to have the gastric bypass. At this point, I have met with him only once...and there was not one thing that I wasn't pleased with. Future patients should be aware that Dr. Schuricht is very blunt, so to speak. He lets you know right from the start that for ultimate weight loss you must follow his instructions. He does emphasize aftercare, and although I haven't had my surgery yet, a friend says that Dr. Schuricht returns calls quite fast (one of the staff members was a little slow in returning my call to set up my date, but all in all...so far so good)!
As all surgeries have their risks, Dr. Schuricht explained the added risks of having this weight loss surgery. He left nothing unsaid. I actually walked out of there feeling better about myself...and I haven't even had the surgery yet!!!
To be a great surgeon I would think that his competence and his bedside manner would go hand in hand. At this time and in my opinion, I would rate Dr. Schuricht a perfect "10."
