Keep the faith and keep your eyes on your goal. These bumps in the road validate your need for this surgery. Remember we are all in this together, gather support as you wish. My shoulders are there to lean on......

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

L, good luck to you as you make your way on this journey. Do your research, find out as much as you can about the different types of WLS out there, figure out what will be the best for you. Find a surgeon that you trust and ask for his personal statistics on complications and mortality. Don't rush into anything, take your time and be an informed consumer. This surgery has truly been a miracle to me, I hope it will be the same for you. {{{HUGS}}}

I had surgery 6 weeks ago. I can tell you now, it's the best decision I've ever made. I understand how depressing it can be to be morbidly obese. I started out weight 326 and I'm only 5'4''. I know I feel better now than I can ever remember. I feel lighter, and like I deserve to be healthy. You will need to keep your head up high, and fight for this surgery in some cases, but know that you are worth it, and thats all that matters! Good luck to you!

Dear L, No matter what your weight is, hold your head up high because you are the only you that there is. Be proud of who you are. Weight is only one facet of you. I have never met you but I do understand the feelings a person can have when they are different than they want to be. I know that if I don't do something I will die. If I die in surgery (not likely) at least I died trying to get better. Be proud of who you are and hold your head up high. Love, Rosemary
