"Seton is a clean facility, with plenty of parking, even have valet service in the front (which is great). The rooms are quiet but could use a little more decorating. At the price they charge, it should have more pizzaz -- the maternity wards do!"
"Dr. Faulkenberry is a fine surgeon, good people skills, no nonsense approach. He will provide all the information one needs AND most importantly, he really listens to his patients.
I already had a lot of information prior to seeing him, yet he and his staff provide information, answer questions, etc. I really like the fact that he has a Clinical Dietician on Staff.
I had a minor swelling problem 2 days after being released from the surgery, called his office, they got me in and Dr.Fauleknberry took immediate action (direct admit). I like the fact that he is very proactive when needed. Also, he is very sensitive to any pain issues we may have post surgery.
Although I do not hesitate to give Dr. Faulkenberry glowing recommendations, in my opinion, he has one associate who isn't quite as sensitive regarding the patient's needs or concerns, hence the reason why I had to return to the hospital 2 days after being released.
In hindsight, I would recommend scheduling the surgery early in the week so you can be released during the week. Don't wait to be released on a weekend for the good doctor may not be on call.
I do believe that the physicians' office (it's a partnership) could be a little more proactive discussing the two support groups available in the Austin area (St. David's Hospital & Seton Medical Center). However, the seminar's the doctors' present prior to making an appointment is very helpful for those exploring various surgical options.
So far, I am happywith the overall experience with Dr. Fauleknberry and have no reservations recommending him to any potential patients.
