Angel reporting!! I went to see Queta last night, she looks great! She was kinda groggy, and says she's still in a lot of pain. The morophine was making her feel bad, so they are supposed to give her something else. I found out from the nurse, Queta completely skipped ICU! And she was up and walking around shortly after her surgery. Thanks to all who stopped by her page to encourage her.

Angel reporting!!! I called UCD a few minutes ago and Queta actually answered her phone!! She says she is in a lot of pain, but she has her handy dandy moriphine pump. Other than the pain, her surgery went fine and she is now officially on THE OTHER SIDE!!!!!!! WOOOO HOOOO, Queta!!!!!!!!!

Hi All, Angel update, here. Queta's surgery was delayed until one o'clock, I spoke with her sister around five thirty and Queta was still in surgery. I called again at seven o'clock and all the nurse could tell me was that she made it thru her surgery and was in recovery right now. I have to wait a few hours until they have a room for her, so I may not have anymore info until tomorrow. I'll try again, tho, just in case.

Queta--Prayers are flying heavenward for you, the doctors, and all who are entrusted with your care. I'm also a UCDavis "grad", having an open RNY on Feb. 6. My best wishes for a speedy recovery. A sense of humor is absolutely necessary during this time! Looking forward to meeting you in person and rejoicing with you at the next support group meeting.

Queta~ Congratulations on your surgery. Now the Teamsters Local 150 can shove it huh! We BOTH had our surgeries, no thanks to them. I'm glad you've finally been approved and your day is here. It's a great feeling to be on "the light side". Take care! Terri in Sacto
