Jodi, Please don't give up. You can appeal their decision. Have you surgeon do all he can do for you. Have him call the insurance company if necessary. I will keep praying for you to receive a positive answer.

Jodi, please don't give up, there are so many options out there, more than 2 years ago, I attempted wls through the btc in belvidere, and was denied by hubby's insurance, I didn't fight at all, I just said "okay then guess I gotta diet some more" Do not take it lying down. now 2 years later (sounds like an awful long time doesn't it? But well worth it now) I am approved (I have state insurance till the end of July through Wisconsin) and now have a surgery date of May 23rd. Jodi, DO NOT GIVE UP ~!! Anything worth having is worth FIGHTING for. No is just a word, nothing more many a No has become a YES. Just takes changing someone's mind. Form a plan and get others who have dealt with your insurance company then fight back ~~!! Good Luck Patti

Jodi, my heart goes out to you, I can empathize with your disappointment. BUT... dont give up! Search your heart, give this great thought, if you feel this surgery is really for you, then put on your gloves and get ready to duke it out with the insurance company. I was approved after a denial. It will not be easy, probably not quick, but you still have a chance. Take care and good luck, Denise

Jodi.. Most of us have been denied.. they love to deny us.. I think it may be manditory for the first time through... keep your chin up.. write an appeal letter, there is one in the library to refer to.. Good Luck, and don't give up... <<<<HUGS>>>
