Northeast Georgia Medical Center

"This hospital was vey good and the staff was excellant. They have specially designed Bariatric beds. They will take you from a flat position to a sitting position as in a chair. All you have to do then is stand up. no struggling to get out of bed. These beds cost $20,000. I was told that my surgeon bought two of these for the hospital. "

C. Daniel Procter, Sr.

"I first met Dr Procter in his Public Information meeting. He is very enthuiastic about what he does. He has a complete program from preop through postop. He attends the support group meetings. It is a very structured process. He has a Bariatric coordinator that handle all of his up front work. You have to attend support group meetings, psychological evaluation, sleep study, psychological weekend seminar, a written essay on your understanding of the process. After all of this is done your file is sent to his office and they fight the insurance battle befor you even get an appt for the DR. You may think this is strange, but it minimizes your time and his. Once I understood the process it all made sense. This surgery is not easy and the process is not easy. Be ready. "
