Have you ever seen the movie: THE WIZARD OF OZ??? Well, soon you will be saying what the wicked witch said when Dorothy threw a bucket of water on her: "I'M MELTING!! I'M MELTING!!!" Those lbs will just melt off of you soon. You will soon be walking down the YELLOW BRICK ROAD to see the WIZARD OF OZ and your sweetest wish will be granted. Congratulations and good luck to you. My husband and I both had our open rny's at Pacific Bariatric in San Diego in 2001 and have lost a combined total of 325 lbs. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

October 10th Dear Sherri: Greetings and welcome to AMOS! Please fill your profile up a bit and let us know some more about you and your struggles with obesity. You are obviously a very courageous person because you're pursuing wls to 'gain' a healthier you! I had my surgery on August 20th of this year; It's not an easy venture to take, but it is going to save my life. My BMI started out at 53 (324 lb) was the weight I went into surgery with. My highest weight was 336 lb. Currently (as of last week) I'm at 291 lb. So, it works, but I'm not going to say it's easy. A lot of psychological changes must take place concerning relationship with food/eating habits etc. I find/found it to be a difficult journey, but one that has caused me to gain some insight into me----which is a good thing!
