In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.

Hi Holly...I too am afraid to tell certain family members about wanting this surg. I figure its my business and I DON'T NEED negitive comments. The AMOS family has really helped me with that. I really want this surgery..so Im doing it for me. About the family member who is an RN...well Im an RN too. There are a few choices for this family RN. 1...you can tell her that you are having WLS, that you have done all the research ( you might want to have articles printed up to show her) and you would appreciate only positive output, you are well aware of the risk. 2..After the WLS is done and you want to stay with the Gallbladder story...tell her thay had to open due to stone blockage in the ducts (I work in surg..we have had to do this several times on pt who started out as a lap). The open gallbladder takes 8 weeks to recover from. Or 3...wait till several weeks after the WLS and then tell her. You would have already lost weight and will be feeling better. Anyway remember, this is your choice.....you are doing something positive in your life to make yourself healthier. GOOD LUCK and good health.
