"I am a Registered Nurse and thus very "picky" about health care professionals. Dr. Quioco was kind, compassionate, and thorough in his consultations (3) with me prior to surgery (January 2003). His office handled the insurance approval (Anthem BC/BS)- there were no problems or delays of any kind. I had a leak and was returned to the OR on the first post-op day. That surgery went very well. The worst experience was dealing with the NG tube. Dr. Quioco was very attentive to me and to my family - he treated me as if I was his only patient, often visitng more than once/day. Dr. Quioco brings years of experience to bariatric surgery and, without any reservations, highly recommend him. Dr. Quioco performed the lap RNY on my sister one week prior to my surgery - she was home on the 2nd post-op day! We are both over age 50 - I have heard that many surgeons will not operate on people over 50, so we were lucky to find Dr. Quioco. He is a competent surgeon and caring individual; Great bedside manner!"
