Hi Johnnette, My prayers and my best wishes go out to you on your upcomming surgery. I wish you a speedy recovery and a bright new future. I too am having WLS on 5-07-03. We can both look ahead to a happy new life on the losing side. I know you had a tough time getting to this point but you made it and it will be well worth it.

In response to your message to me, yes I am having the Lap procedure done. Everyone recommends Dr. Eagon - even some of my other doctors. Your wait will be well worth it. My surgery is on the 13th so you can check out my page to see how it goes. Mandy Kennon

Johnette, I really believe this happened for a reason. I had surgery with Dr Eagon and I would not trust my life with anyone else in the state. He has been solicited many times to correct surgeries that have gone bad done by other surgeons. He is diligent, concerned and dedicated to his patients. He is shy and quiet, but the best choice there is. You will meet his nurse Donna and she is the best!! Barnes Jewish Hospital treated me like a queen and are trained and ready for the Obese patient. Good luck and if you feel the need to email me for any questions please do, but my email won't be available for about a month, since we are in temporary quarters at the moment. Best of luck and I know you don't want to hear this, but this was the best thing that could have happened to you!!

Its me and I'm sorry I have updated before now I have been so depressed. I would like to thank all the had wished me good luck and all the prayers of a speedy recovery. 2 days before surgery I was called by the surgeons office and the Hospital had canceled my Surgery becouse they didn't like the amount they were to be paid from Medicaid. I have been calling and bugging them since with No luck I had even offered to pay half up front and payments for the rest. They want 15000.00 I'm so P/O-ed and would like to stear all away from Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia,Missouri they havn't treated me well at all. I feel sorry for the surgeon he seemed Like a good choice but has not once called me or come to my defense. I called his office 2 days ago and they flat out told me to stop bugging them it wasn't going to happen. So I'm back to finding and going to a compitant surgeon and a much better Hospital. Dr. Eagon will be the one and Jewis Barns Hospital in St. Louis. My appt. is Aug. 5th but I'm working on tying to move that up since I'm already appropved by insur. Speaking of Medicaid they have been wonderful and trying to find me a surgeon that can get this done too. They now I need it and have been outstanding in the process.
