"This is actualy a funny story, My primary care doc told me to see this surgeon when i called to make the appointment they told me he was no longer taking new patients but refered me to Dr. Blackburn
mean while my insurance changed and I had to get a new primary care Doc in which I quickly told him this is what im trying to do he got the initial appointment approved to meet the surgeon, but when i met with the surgeon he thought i was nuts!!!! he said why did they refer you to me I dont perform weight loss surgery my heart dropped I was about to cry! then he said but i can tell you who i recomend you see? so i said who he said Dr. Blackburn. I am affiliated with him and may join him in wls in the future but as of now im not in that kind of practice. I thought it was funny that i came full circle right back to Dr. Blackburns office! so I will now meet him on 11/4/99 i will let you know how it goes if anyone is interested!UPDATE
DR MATHEWS IS THE DOC DOING MY SURGERY I MET HIM ON 11/4 I HAVE ONE TEST LEFT THE ABDOMINAL ULTASOUND AND MY SURGERY WILL BE BEFORE XMASS!
Update had my surgery on 12-17-99 bad experience in the hospital with awful nurses that were getting paid big bucks to treat me like shit. but im over it and right now im 6 wks post op and down 36 lbs not alot i think but what can ya do!
UPDATE:2-6-00 reached 41 lbs I am going back to work full time dress clothes are BIGGER!
ya! 2-21-00 As of this morning I am at
a loss of 51 lbs
UPDATE: 3-5-00 i JUST GOT OVER BEING STUCK AT THE SAME WEIGHT FOR LIKE A WEEK AND A HALF.... BUT AT LEAST I'M UNSTUCK!!LOL AS OF TODAY I AM DOWN 58LBS "259" WELL i WILL WRITE AGAIN SOON.... "
