Hey everyone! I just wanted to let y'all know that I have lost 20 pounds in 21 days! I am very excited! I imagine this will slow down now, but what a way to start! I am still having trouble knowing when to stop eating! Does anyone have any solutions to eating too fast? I think if I could slow down, I wouldn't overeat. I feel really yucky when I do. You would think I would learn! Well, I wish all of you a great day and a Happy New Year!

Hi Beth, I had open RNY oct. 2. I've lost 65 lbs since surgery and 76 since my highest recorded weight of 396. I was just reading your profile and wanted to say hello. It sounds like you're doing pretty well. I had a lot of that same stuff when I was around 10 days out. It's getting easier as I adjust to all the changes. Anyway good luck to you and congratulations!

I am now 10 days post-op and I am feeling much more like normal now. My strength is slowly coming back and my soreness is virtually gone. I still have to be careful how I move and stuff, but I am feeling much better! The worst part of surgery I think was the first 4 or 5 days. After that, it gets much better. I hope everyone who is having surgery is doing well and all of you on this road for WLS will have an uneventful time of it! Happy Holidays everyone!

Well, I'm back! I'm still at my mother's house till tomorrow so I won't be chatting till this weekend. I just wanted to update everyone on my surgery. All went well (obviously). No one told me about the muscle spasms!!!! They were awful. Now that I am 7 days post-op, I am beginning to be happy that I had this done. I wish I had not been such a chicken about having it done lap. Having it done open was really a lot harder to get over. After the first few days, it got better and I feel a little better everyday. Hope everyone is doing well and thanks for all the e-mails of support!
