Hi Cara, I would say don't be nervous but, heck, I was nervous! Of course it was for nothing (though I probably burned a few more calories) since my surgery was flawless. I thought the week before surgery was harder than the week after just because of the unknown (at least it was for me.) Keep it positive; that means having only positive people around you. Best of luck and I hope all your health and weight-loss dreams come true...

Cara, Congratulations and best wishes for a smooth and speedy recovery! Don't forget to take a pillow and/or a Bari Buddy (available at the OH.com store) with you to the hospital, you won't be sorry that you did! You need the pillow for all kinds of comforts from coughing to side support and frankly sometimes the hospital pillows just aren't really great. Also inquire with the hospital about whether a fan will be available to you, if not and permitted, take one with you. The combination of the narcotics and the leg cuffs they use to prevent clots makes many people very very hot! bright blessings to you in this part of the journey and much success too!~Caroline O.--
