Hi Rich, I wish you all the very best on your upcoming surgery. It is a life saver. I know it saved my life. I am a big guy, 6' 8" tall and started out at 450 lbs. Dear Rich~~~~CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!on your approval and your date. August might seem like such a long way down the road but the time will fly by. It's great that you are meeting with the dietitian every month-you'll already be in lifestyle change mode by the time you are post-op. The weight loss is wonderful too. I'm wishing you a safe, uncomplicated surgery and a fast, smooth recovery. I had my Open RNY on 12/10/01 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not doing it sooner. It really was the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you begin your new, healthier life.

Congratulations on your DATE and APPROVAL!! That is so great. I hope the wait goes by fast for you. And, at least you have this time to prepare yourself + your family for this life changing surgery. I am 9 weeks post op RNY my Date was Dec 6, 2001. I waited a full year for my surgery and it is well worth it.. I started at 298 and today weigh 220..
