Hi Dawn, I wish I lived less than 2500 miles away from you..I would drive you to the hospital. I am sure that you will recieve a lot of support from the people here...I am new and having surgery in two weeks and have received so much support and help from this site. My favorite joke as a kid was.."What's worse than a match in a fireworks factory? "a flood in a fizzies factory." I like your sense of humor! I had back surgery 18 months ago and the doctor was angry because it took much longer than he expected because, as he said angrily...."there was so much fat I had to cut through." It went fine, and I am not in excruciating pain any more but, the weight I am carrying is preventing me from being able to do much exercise. I am glad that you found that book....good luck and keep in touch. Maureen

Dawn Hello and Welcome~~~you are not alone!! There are lots of people here to give you support and understanding. Oh yes--the mother-imposed diet is familiar as are those Fizzes!! Please do everything you can and start researching for the best doctor near you. Stay strong and with the help of our AMOS family you will be getting a surgery date of your own. Also, please post and start asking all the questions you have. Let everyone know that you need support and they all will be there for you! Wishing you the very best as you start your journey to the loosing side. May all you dreams come true!!
