"Little unsure about him because very laid back. He does not seem the type to be a surgeon but is very knowledgeable and seems like a very nice doctor. Explained things in regular people terms. He has been rumored to have a great bedside manner and cares a great deal before/after surgery - another person said that he (Thrift) came by 4 times a day or more to check on him after surgery. He did address the risks and was blunt (which I like). Overall I liked him better than my husband did. My husband would rather a colder doctor who knows his stuff. I would rather a nice doctor who knows his stuff who will listen when I say something."
