BIG PETE will forever be remembered by me and my family! I went often to Big Pete's website and marveled at what a wonderful work in progress he was. My daughter and I sat and watched him on Oprah, i remembered how i wept with tears of joy at the life he'd regained as a result of weight loss surgery. Big Pete answered emails i'd written to him with such a positive attitude and one of encouragement. I'll forever be thankful that i 'knew' Big Pete! No more pain inside those pearly gates...Big Pete is now an angel! What an awesome thought! :) ~Cheryl

I am so very sorry to learn about the loss of Peter. I hope his friends and family can find some peace and comfort knowing how much he has helped other people and what a fine man he is.

Pete was such an inspiration. He made you feel confident and hopeful and important whenever he talked to you. He answered all my messages and provided so much information for us on his web page. I know that I have been there time and time again. I also can barely read the screen now. I'm not ready to say anything positive yet. I'm sad and mad right now. I do believe that if anyone deserves to be with God it's Pete. Now he will start a WLS support group in heaven. With his angel wings he will now be able to fly and be light as a feather.

It is hard to wonder at why things go the way they do, but we all know God is in control. Peter had such a wonderful love for people that he spread throughout the internet and all around him. We will sorely miss you Peter.
