~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~

Hi, Marla - I just read through your profile and wanted to tell you how I admire your strength! It is very important for those who are considering surgery to read about the possible complications that can happen. I must say that your outlook about GBS after all your trials is inspirational! I hope that you are soon on a better, more healthy path! Take care.

Marla, You've come too far, woman, to let this kick your ass. You've done so well with the surgery. YOU'RE A SUCCESS!! Maybe your head just hasn't caught up with the rest of your body yet! I bet there are very few women who have not felt the way you're feeling now. Even before surgery. Maybe not everyone will admit it, but I will. I struggled with depression after my middle child was born. Go talk to someone who KNOWS what they're doing. Go to a support group! That's a great place to start. I wish you the best of luck. Kathy

Hi Marla, Wow..you have had a tough time. I agree sometimes life sucks! First things first. Get yourself to a doctor and get on some meds for depression. I have to take them and I know - no matter what the problems are in your life they seem unmanagable when you are depressed. There are ways to control your pain and you can get some control over that. Beyond that? First of all you are beautiful. Really beautiful. Teeth and hair are things you can do something about. So maybe you have to wear a hair piece until your hair comes back and maybe you have to visit Miss Clairol a bit. Guess what - a lot of us do! You are already getting the teeth corrected. Every thing will work out. People do read your stuff and people do care. You keep on keeping on...everything will get better when you get yourself under control. Good luck to you.

Dear Marla...you've certainly been through the wringer with your surgery, and I'm sorry to hear that. I know, on top of fibromyalgia, that it must be very hard to accept these new changes, and the additional pain. I hope that you are getting counseling...having the fibro alone (without all the additional stuff from WLS) is a reason to be seeing a counselor on a regular basis. Most people living with chronic pain are depressed to some degree. I pray you can get the help you need, Marla. Please continue to let us know how you're doing. Love and hugs, Joy
