"Dr. Marcus and his staff are exceptional. Clearly, he and they are in this field not simply by default or to make money; rather, they have a passion for what they do. Patients considering surgery with Dr. Marcus are required to attend a support group meeting or two. These meetings are worthwhile for anyone considering the surgery, as well as for post-ops. Granted, they have a slight cult-like feel to them, but that's not necessarily a bad thing-- we have all been on the wrong side of the "us vs. them" divide, and it is comforting and encouraging to meet others with similar issues, successes, failures and goals. The *only* negative thing that comes to mind is that he is very hurried in his hospital visits post-op. Nonetheless, I always felt (and have since observed in his medical care for others experiencing complications) that he and his staff would find the time to respond to any serious needs of his patients.
