Another month (almost 2) and I am down 35 pounds and feeling better than I have in years! My loss seems slow but I'm still pleased with any loss at all! I do worry that my skin may sag and I try to incorporate exercise and the treadmill as often as possible, however, if this be the case I will option for the tummy tuck,et al! I eat so little and wonder sometimes how I can feel so good! The most difficult thing for me has been getting in enough water and I allowed myself to become dehydrated once which left me queasy; very tired and weak! Needless to say I try much harder to indulge in the water but still find it my most difficult task! I'm glad I did the surgery and I'm delighted when I can get rid of clothes that are too big!!! I love it!!!!

Hi, all! I'm just a little over two weeks post-op and I am feeling better everyday! So far I've had no problems other than the associated pain in the beginning and getting tired so easily! I constantly remind myself that it takes "time" to heal and I must be patient! I have lost 15 #'s in this time period and I'm reasonabley happy with that. I do walk every day; the hardest is getting down the necessary amounts of protein and water as I get so full so fast! Today (4th of July) has been my best day because I am less sensitive at the surgery site and my energy level seems to be getting better and I am beginning to feel that this phase of the WLS is passing! Good luck to all of you out there anticipating surgery! I pray that all goes as well as mine has!! Carolyne

hi - it's me and I must say it is good to be moving about a bit more freely. My surgery went very well and "I remember" nothing until I woke in my room. What a way to go!!! I am one week into recovery and so far so good! My surgery was an open rny not a lap. Okay with me as it's all done now and I am the "happier" for it! Thanks to all of you who sent me "get well wishes and prayers" they meant so much to me and helped a great deal. Carolyne

OOOOH! Less than 14 hours I will be wheeled into surgery and my major fear is the fact that I am very claustrophobic and will I be out before any tubes or masks are put anywhere near my face????? Of course I have all of the normal fears about getting through it all okay and having a speedy recovery. I am thinking of all the others having surgery the samae day and my prayers will definitely include them. Keep those prayers coming as all of us can use them. No postings now until I am home with my family! Carolyne

I went for my pre-op tests today and had my blood workup and an EKG and a chest x-ray! Pretty painless! I am a bit edgy and experienceing the joys of fsting prior to surgery. My doctor want s me to have liquids only for two days prior. So, this AM I said bye-bye to soleds for a long time! I am on My way! Yes!!!!!!!!!

Hi! I went to see the surgeon today and received a bunch of papers explaining the diet pre and post-op! I was given my list for the hospital and the pre-op testing which I will do tomorow morning. I shopped til I dropped today and got things to take to the hospital and for my diet after I get home. Thanks to all of you offering me the prayers as they (and you) mean so much to me!
