"My initial visit with Dr Kalan went as i thought it would. I had been doing my homework so our consultation mainly consisted of process and precedures. He was very personable, told me he thought I was a godd candidate for the surgery due to my other medical conditions. He passed me on to Irene, his ass't who was and is very helpful. i never felt rushed or uncomfortable with either of them. My papers are being submitted now( first week of March 2003)so I will report on that step later.
he did say my pcp would handle most of my aftercare. Since almost all my docs are at Georgetown, that is fine with me.
